Cross-curricular programmes
Ready to inspire your students? Stowe House is an architectural masterpiece, crafted by visionaries, scholars and artists. Our evolving education programme reflects this, with cross-curricular links to suit a range of national curriculum subjects and carefully scaffolded for different year groups. Bring history to life with one of our unforgettable educational experiences.
Help Us
We’re currently reviewing our educational offer for EYFS-KS3 and are looking for schools to participate in our pilot programmes.
By getting involved, you’ll play a key role in helping us develop our activities while making a difference to our charity. In return, we’re offering free school visits to those who meet the following criteria:
- All teachers in attendance provide detailed feedback.
- Students are given extra time at the end of each visit to provide thorough feedback on their experience.
- Photography will take place during the visit, and Stowe House reserves the right to use images in marketing materials (e.g., website, social media, print). While most students and staff should have photography permission, teachers commit to assisting Stowe House staff in identifying and preventing photography of those without consent.
We have three programmes to suit EYFS through to KS3. Learn more about the activities for different age groups and enquire below to arrange your education visit.
EYFS and KS1
With inquisitive minds, our youngest visitors will learn fundamental skills as they explore the house with our friendly team.

House Detectives
This interactive session teaches children about the importance of conservation and restoration as they search the house for clues, examine materials, and learn through play.
KS2 and KS3
With foundational knowledge concepts grasped, our Stories Through Time and Face-to-Face programmes are tailored for KS2 and KS3.

Face-to-Face
In this artistic session, students will meet some of Stowe’s most significant historical characters, learn about the house’s importance in Great Britain’s history, and record their observations through various art media.

Stories Through Time
In this creative writing session, children will discover some of Stowe’s hidden stories from different historical periods, collect characters and construct their own story through interactive games and role play.
While GCSE students often have a packed timetable, we’re happy to explore bespoke topics for this age group—just let us know your needs when enquiring.
